Tapestry Friends

This woven tapestry has a chic, mysterious appeal due to the gold thread (lurex)l. The intertwined mermaids (the piece of art is also referred to as the Water Snakes) represent the mythological theme of Eros and Thanatos: love and ecstasy should be maintained forever. The piece is based on Gustav Klimt's original which was painted between 1903 and 1907.

Fabric: 92% viscose-6%polyester-2%polyamide.

The backside is lined with beige cotton and it has a tunnel so it can easily be hung on the wall.
