Art Deco Trade's Tiffany lamps, Tiffany mirrors and Tiffany window panels are expertly manufactured using the authentic Tiffany technique. This is a process that requires a great deal of patience, expertise and precision on the part of the maker. Special attention is also paid to the best and most beautiful proportions during this process.

Crystal clear

Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848-1993) is the famous glass artist who invented the Tiffany technique. His work completely changed both glass art and the way we look at it. Anyone who taps on a beautiful Tiffany shade in Art Deco Trade for the first time has to get used to the sound and the feeling: Is that real glass? So how come the glass sounds dull and not clear? The soldered tin enclosing the glass pieces makes the glass sound dull when tapped. Tiffany products are made in the same artisanal way as in the past. You simply cannot do that with plastic. Anyone who doubts this may try poking a heated needle through the glass. Impossible!

Opulent motifs

Tiffany ColouredBy Art© items shine so beautifully partly because they contain dozens, and in some cases even hundreds, of different pieces of glass. This is because each cut and ground piece is wrapped with copper foil. Copper foil is used to add sumptuous motifs to the lamps. On a mould, the small glass pieces are soldered together with soldering tin.

A Tiffany lamp, mirror or panel from Art Deco Trade is expertly packaged and delivered with a Colouredby Art© certificate and care advice. The packaging of an original Tiffany Colouredby Art© product also bears the Art Deco Trade logo.
