Looking for an impressive and eye-catching vase? Then these Art Nouveau vases meet all the requirements.....
Beautifully shaped, beautifully coloured and technically manufactured to a very high standard.
The vases are perfect without or with flowers!
The warm colours and romantic shapes on the vases make them real eye-catchers in your interior! For example, in the window on a windowsill: when the light shines through the vase, a beautiful effect is created.
Birds in flight or relaxed on a branch, dragonflies flying impressively or lounging on a beautiful leaf, butterflies, insects, swaying palms, wayward vines, blossom on winding branches, buds or exotic flowers such as Orchids, Chrysanthemums or Lotus in all their glory. These natural and organic forms are mysteriously set in a soft sultry light on the vase models. Very beautiful!
The satin finish the vases owe to a process once devised by French glassmaker and furniture designer Émile Gallé (1846-1904). This artist's inspiration was flora and fauna.
World famous is this motivational glassware: Layered glass contains an etched representation with different colours between two layers. This is applied with a special paint. After submerging the representation in acid, up to the second colour layer can be 'etched away'. This process can be further repeated until the third colour layer.
Signing Gallé work: A lot of different signatures were used with the original models. One started with a Japanese-style signature. In 1904 to 1906, one put an asterisk after the name Gallé as a tribute. This star was left out because people did not want it. After 1906, they opted for the writing letters GALLE with a line under the name that partially cuts through the letter G. Needless to say, the vases offered by Antique StyleWebwinkel are new vases. Affordable models that were not made around 1900 of the last century, but are technically high-quality and ingeniously crafted. There are few craftsmen left in the world who have mastered this technique. Enjoy!
