"Water Lilies" (Les Nymphéas) is a woven tapestry based on the ideas of the French artist Claude Monet (1840-1926).
Monet built a colourful garden and a pond near his studio in Giverny in the 1890s. This way he continuously found inspiration for his beloved motif.

The water is shown in idyllic shades of blue/purple set against light, clear background. Voluminous aquatic plants, leaves and motivating lilies are carried out in large vague green, yellow and red lines.
Fabric: 100% cotton.
The backside is lined with beige cotton and it has a tunnel so it can easily be hung on the wall.
