The Dutch Golden Age was a period in the history of the Netherlands spanning the 17th century when the country was thriving and culture flourished continuously. Especially the art of painting was at its peak. During the Golden Age, numerous highly talented artists created masterpieces that are still, four centuries later, extremely admired by the audience. The paintings are the treasures of art collections in museums all over the world.
