A lamp with stature. This typically French, Art Deco wall lamp has a half sphere of satinated glass in a geometrical, symmetrical Art Deco shape. The design is reminiscent of Egyptian patterns. These exotic motifs were popular in the Art Deco period. The bowl is 'carried' by a shiny nickel fitting with ridges. An artistic lamp that is a piece of jewellery for the wall.
Made according to original moulds. In the twenties and thirties, French Art Deco lamps became famous for their renowned glass and light artists, such as René Lalique, Ernest-Marius Sabino, Daum Frères, Émile Gallé and Muller Frères.
