The Japanese artist Gesso Yoshimoto (1881-1936) made, among other things, woodblock printing, which was given a new look by adding elements from European impressionism.
Gesso was known for the use of beautiful bright colors and detailed precision: as can be seen on this vase of ceramics. The dreamy swallow is accentuated by the red flower. Comes with brochure about the artist.
