An Art Nouveau sculpture based on the work of the famous Scottish designer Charles Rennie Mackintosh (1868-1928).
In 1900, he and his wife designed two large plaster panels to decorate the famous Ingram Street Tea Rooms in Glasgow. Their customer was the businesswoman Kate Cranston, whose "Glasgow tea rooms" became famous all over the world for their architecture and interior design. The title "The Wassail" refers to the festive meal that was traditionally held on Halloween at the end of the harvesting season.
