With his wife Margaret, Scottish designer Charles Rennie Mackintosh (1868-1928) designed two large plaster panels in 1900 to decorate the famous Ingram Street Tea Rooms in Glasgow. The title "The Wassail" refers to the banquet, which was traditionally held on Halloween at the end of the harvest season.
